I do normally...but sarcasm has mostly a funny part on it, which i can find here...sry lol

Depends on what your goal is, do you want to become better at chess or have a good rating. If you only wish to have a good rating, then you migth as well stop. If you want to improve your chess, swallow your pride and keep playing. Chess is a brutally rational game, become more rational or stop.

I get your feel. I recently went from 2230 rapid to sub 2080 and dropping. My advice is to not make mistakes off the board. So many of my losses are because I'm watching something on my other monitor, tired etc.
If you play a few fully focused games every day in the morning, when you are sharp and sober, good things will happen. Unfortunately that's not an option to me because I'm addicted so I must always play.

He's 14, so hopefully, "drunk or high" is not an issue. :)

You seem to spend a lot of time playing variants, is that correct? If you really want to improve your chess, play mostly real chess. If you'd rather be the best at Racing Kings, focus on Racing Kings.
