I agree, it would be very useful, but maybe it would be much more complicated for Lichess to manage it.
In addition to #26 and #29: yesterday I sent an e-mail to Lichess about the problem of having to play many times in a row to the same player in Arena mode. Tonight I already got a response: "We just updated the pairing algorithm to make repeat pairings less likely, it should be fixed in the next few days."

Another thing one or two people in my club have complained about with the Arena format is that it doesn't seem to make any attempt to balance colours. Is an update to fix this on its way?
