Am i able to be somewhen a GM?

hi guys

i started playing with 25 years and now after 1 years playing i reached a certain lvl. i Never read theory. All i did was playing.

Do u belive its possible for somebody who started late still to get a gm?
It's an always recurring question. And it's a long journey. And chances of getting there are low. Most people that start early don't get there despite long years of heavy training. Just look at all those awesome IMs like chessexplained or John Bartholomew.
Set yourself more realistic goals at first, then look how much time you needed to get there and only then set the less realistic goals...
Its (possible). You got to put a lot of work in it though. Openings, Endgames, Tactics, Positional play, Openings, Endgames, Tactics, Tactics, Endgames, Tactics, Strategy, Positional play, Openings, Strategy, Positional play. Start with getting to 2000 on lichess. Then make it a goal to get to 2200 (classical not blitz/bullet). And increase your otb rating in stages of 200 also. Lots of work is required.

Becoming GM is not easy at all for lots of chess players.
Since you are no longer 15 years young and have another chess title (NM,CM,FM,IM) already, it seems realistic to me to aim for NM or FM title instead. That is a much more reasonable goal. Still, going for NM or FM title will most likely demand training/study/playing dedication for a few years.

Apart from that, it is also good to ask yourself why you want a chess title.
For example :
Is it because you think you will get more easily students as chess coach ? Or because you want to play Magnus Carlsen ? Or because some relatives will be proud of you ? Or because becoming GM was a long time dream ? Or because you want to be in the chess news ? Or because you want to do something for your country ? etc.etc. (I just made up these questions. Just questions in general to stir up the thinking process, nothing else).

Having said that, did you see this recent attacking style win from a 11 year old IM against 2600+ GM ?

If not FM you can go for CM. This requires less effort than FM. If you once reach 2200+ FIDE you get the CM.
Just fallow your dream!
Become CM first, after that you will find all answers that you need...
nope it's not possible, they dedicate their life from very early age
but you can set reasonable goals e.g. when you reach 1500, aim for 1600. and when you achive that set course to 1700...
I think intelligence plays a certain role too. Someone with high IQ could become a GM in a shorter amount of time.
In my opinion you can become a GM, but it will take a huge amount of time, so don't do it. Don't waste your time on a worthless board game. You can use this time to build some kind of business empire instead.

Hello!! Tell me how you got your game. What do you read? How much time studying chess? Very interesting. For the year you have a good rating. If the second year will make Lichess a rating of 2000 will be very good. Then the most difficult. 2300 may take 5 years. This rating is a skilled player with a discharge CM - candidate master. Lichess a rating of 2500 is the master. Good luck in your endeavors!! This is a serious challenge to his hobby!!
