Why chess players have to face lichess robots without previous announcement?

Unfortunately beads are the bell bottom jeans of the 2020s.

How does that happen? Is it in the lobby? I've never had that occur.Do you mean in tournaments?

Just because your opponent is named "robot" doesn't mean they're a robot...

According to the game, everyone can use their username for example "ro-bot". Even they're a human! For example me, I can create a fake account with the username "ro-bot".

How would I notice that I am playing against a robot instead of playing against a human being?

Player ro-bot does have a puzzle history. Can bots do puzzles?
