Perhaps you're right. It seems the statement may be interpreted either as a report of a bug, or as a behavior to be exploited. Since the subject title explicity says "exploit," I assumed the latter.

But, why? The purpose of training is to improve your performance in competition. If you fool yourself into thinking you can win a marathon by fudging on training, you're only going to end up cramping …

I agree, Ng3+ is equal to the solution accepted. Interestingly, Ng3+ is the move played in the game, where White resigns one move later. One wonders what more evidence is needed?
