Tournaments...

Currently you must do nothing while waiting for the tournaments to start. Maybe you could implement an option to play "warm up" games against people who have already joined the tournament. These games would get aborted as soon as the tournament starts, and would not count toward the tournament score. You could count them like the grey games that end after the tournament time runs out.

You could always watch porn or listen to death metal

It appears that this, or something else to keep the players busy, is needed. Players who have nothing to will leave tournaments; creating bigger tournaments becomes impossible without giving the waiting players something to do.

The inbox has a number beside it. Is there a way to have the Tournament feature like the inbox. It would indicate how many tournaments are there. Either active or waiting to start. This could help draw more people towards a tournament. The other solution is invite people to the Tournament, using regular emails or the site chat feature. I think advertising is the solution.

I like the idea of warm up games, I will do that.
