I feel like we need to make this clear!

I feel like people don't understand this. Nakamura is not even close to the level of Carlsen in classical chess. Carlsen has a much deeper understanding of chess than Naka does. But yet so many people are saying that Naka is better than Carlsen. If you compare them on a blitz level, maybe it is close, but that is only because it's basically Hikaru's job to stream and play blitz online. But when you compare them on a longer time control level, it's not the same at all.

I am glad that Magnus won. If he had not won, it would be chaos in the chess world. We would have those people that got introduced to chess by like XQC on twitch saying that Naka is the GOAT or stuff like that. There needs to be a reality check of what is happening :)

What is the point of that post? We have different opinions and that will never change.

@faketpr the point is that maybe this can change the mindset of some people hopefully. I don't intend to be rude to Naka with my post, but I don't think that it's an "opinion" that Carlsen is at least the best player right now.

Not really on the topic but that tweet is do stupid :D The world champion using a chess engine under the desk. It would be so much better for him to be demolished his match than to be caught using an engine.
The moral here is that some people just have no idea what they are talking about . :)

Does it really matter? Carlsen is amazing, and so is Hikaru. People lose and win, one tourney doesn’t mean that one is better than the other. There are ratings for a reason. Let people think what they want, just know who’s right and who’s wrong I guess.
