The thing about Chrome, is that all the kids use it, because hey, it's Google, and it's a new browser made to out-class the old generation, just like FF over IE!
Google likes promoting their shit, in the form of taking kids outback and fucking them into liking their company, without realizing it.

But I've seen someone use IE 10 to play chess here, too.
And for FireFox I didn't have to know anything about websockets for them to start working in either stable, beta or alpha releases.
And I think there's a way to get Opera to work with Lichess, too.

Chrome is a good f***ing browser. It uses the V8 JavaScript Engine which is at the top of its category and the WebKit renderer, which also hauls ass and has left Gecko far behind not only due to supporting supporting CSS3 better (amongst other things), but also from the point of view of optimisation. It was the first browser to split different dependencies (plugins) and tabs into processes and all the others (including Opera now) have followed suit.
Chrome's success is not by chance... it's because it largely outperforms all its competitors. Apart from StumbleUpon for Failfox and "Notes" on the Opera sidebar, Chrome is the greatest browser of them all from the end-user's point of view.
Not everyone would agree! I did by a Chromebook so i'll like you, Ball. But if I EVER catch you defending web browsers again! ... so help me!
I do have eleven browsers on my Personal Computer. Can't everyone just use the Maxthon browser?!

He once assumed in the main site chat that GitHub sucks for being hypocritical in that it's closed-source while it is for open-source management, then left without reading anyone's reply to his assumption XD. Somehow to him, that's like, an automatic proof of hypocrisy as well as the invalidity of having a purposeful use for it.
Basic fallicies or judgements like small inconsistencies such as presumed hypocrisy or names like "hipster wutev", all a matter of the religiously driving force that is stubbornness.
And I don't care how great Chrome's JavaScript engine is. It's easy to use up-to-date technology and inspire other browsers to follow any initiative; there are too many things that browsers were the first to adopt, not just Chrome. Personal examples here are just a matter of bias. Such is the way of Google taking kids outback to their yard and fucking them for company profit like I said. :)
So no matter how "optimised" any of its individual components are, it's not going to change the historical lifetime of its installation on my desktop past the record of 15 minutes XD.
It's the greatest browser of them all from the arrogant end-users' point of view, who believe that their point of view directly correlates always to the quality of the software because of only what they can see.
That said, I really need to finish building Chromium sometime!
