Similar to most people, I have accounts on multiple sites. I noticed that chess dot com though has been really terrible in terms of performance recently (specifically their live-chess mode). Anyone else notice this?
Yep, I play only online chess their and rarely log in anymore. I love Lichess cause it has no lag! But ya, everybody knows that chess.com has lag and lots of bugs.
I wanted to get some quick bullet games and it's still not loading... just spins. It's like it struggles during "peak" periods or something.
The non-chess playing stuff I enjoy on chess.com (they have a better tactics trainer too), but when it comes to game-play, lichess is dominating.

The only reason I ever use chess dot com is for their ipad app, since my ipad isn't new enough to run lichess's app. I don't really like chess dot com, I mean it's nice to have a place to play on the ipad while I'm on the bus, but overall lichess is just so much better that I can't see myself using the other site for any other purpose.
I forgot to mention, it's extremely hard, maybe even impractical, to play anything less than a 5 minute game. Playing a 1 or 2 minute game is just straight up not happening on an ipad, because of the delay between making a move and the server registering it. An increment of +2 on chess dot com's app would translate to +0 after the delay is factored in.
That's why I play on computer onlyb and then get wifi on a tablet
