Lichess4545 Round 2: Salute the Centurions!

Nice, I've got like 40-50 games, hoping to make the centurion club next year!
not related to the actual post but,
was scrolling to see who did the artwork because I thought it was pretty cool.
Found out it's made with AI and honestly I don't know how to feel about it now. :(
The artwork is very cool, however from what I know, centurions would have the crest going from side to side and not from front to back.
Its just @M0r1 playing the league game, thats all there is to it.
I like the idea of perpetual tournament (or its minimalist resemblance with tournament discrete events with some duration).

Why is it restricted to rapid? is this a question of time scales that make a perpetual subscribed pool playing frequency contract only working with the rapid version?

I read the beginning and the italics at end (and glanced some figures). So i may have missed some concepts that could make my question moot.

side leagues like infinite quest are created (and abandoned) by players who participate in the slack. i don't know why infinite quest is rapid, because i don't participate in it. but i can tell you that we had the idea of an infinite swiss floated for classical time formats; but so far we did not implement it.

anyway, the answer basically is: this particular tournament is rapid because the people who started it decided to make it rapid.

Exactly.

The truth is, I am not an actual centurion. This is just how I wear it for my chess games. But thanks for noticing it, I was not aware. I'll try to rotate the crest sideways at some point during my next 100 games.
