Percorso mossa evidenziato

Grazie.

ho scritto a Thibault in inglese come mi avevi suggerito .Non succede nulla.

Okay, I'm not even going to try sending this reply back through Google Translate, but it gave me enough of the gist of the issue here to say something. I don't know quite how relevant it will be without knowing the degree of vision impairment your friend has, but I know Thibault has done some previous work on making lichess accessible to screen readers and the like (possibly the only chess site to do so). I believe there is a mode which can be activated which will make the site more accessible in that way. I just can't recall how it is activated, but I'm sure Thibault or Clarkey can explain the process.

Hasimir is correct, there are accessibility options if you are using a screen reader.

You could always use this: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dmitlichess/haigaafonckooggfpmjplfpbkafelcfe?hl=en

This has actually tempted me to make recordings for all the possible moves. It'd take a while, and be limited to English. But I suppose if the lichess translators wanted to, we could get support for more languages.

Alternatively, if you're only partially vision impaired, you can zoom in on the board with " ctrl + ".
You know, between the obvious applications at lowering barriers for both the visually impaired and to bridge language divides (as well as promoting a constructive pastime), this is the sort of thing you might be able to get a grant for.

Plus there are vast improvements in dictation software which might help with issuing moves (with a verification method for the moves). I figure the absolute worst case scenario for hearing moves is one of those synthetic voices cropping up across the Macs and iPhones these days. As for the app, if it's javascript you can throw a little grant money at a Comp. Sci. undergrad to port it to other browsers (it can't be that hard).
