Lichess Opening Explorer. Must have feature.

Sometimes I am thinking that Opening Explorer should be a part of this amazing site. It will be cool addition to Lichess.

You know, that sh#t, where you can examine all the opening moves. Like e4-e5 and so on. And then see the % percentage of white/black/draw.

Hey, this feature is really most wanted. If you create this it would be awesome.

It would make for a really cool addition to this site, yet... I'd never use it! ;-)

I'm already very satisfied with what other non-commercial databases are offering us.
I guess as long as you don't use it against stockfish(ultimate takerbacker) I don't see the harm in it as long as it can't be used for cheating! It might affect some people's confidence during their game if this works like i'm assuming it does. Over all I think it has most benefits then costs! Good thinking!
A game database of Lichess games (but only in analysis or browse mode) would be a great valuable addition (especially counting on DBs for the variants). In any given position one does wonder what moves were played by strong human players.

Also, sometimes you face openings you're not even familiar with and that's where a DB helps. I would even suggest to allow for community content/annotations to be added to positions (something I havent seen in any DB). This would make the openings browser much more informative as over time one does expect valuable positional insights and strategic ideas added as comments/videos.
There are many online opening explorers and they all based on real played games and show value of moves by percentages of results. If Lichess would ever implement own opening explorer I really would like to see positions value as centipawns.

And I would go even so far with my dreams that imagine engines keeping up the values all the time. For example if I am studying a game an engines evaluation of position could affect value of every earlier position.

This kind of explorer could also be fun when following some grandmaster games. Let’s consider the world championship match. People are following a game and they could analyse it at own board. Those positions are added immediately to opening database with engine evaluations and other people could see them.
This could be a neat idea, might save correspondence players from having to jump offsite to another database to research their opening. Could also be nice for checking openings when stockfish says you made an inaccuracy to see if many other players are playing said "inaccuracy" and if it's actually hurting them or not in reality. Lots of neat things such access to the database could do, and it might even improve the opening trainer in the process. Worth maybe having a look. :)
For my own, i got problems to learn opening names (which is a shame at 1900).
So i d love to have a yes/no option to get the opening name displayed over the board for 2-3seconds while playing !
